Overview

South Australian Power Networks (SAPN) is responsible for delivering safe, reliable electricity distribution across South Australia, including managing network infrastructure, responding to outages caused by extreme weather, and mitigating risks such as bushfires and electrical hazards.

Aurecon was engaged to develop an internal communications strategy to strengthen organisational alignment, improve communication effectiveness, and support SAPN’s operational and safety objectives. The engagement involved direct consultation with internal stakeholders across the business through structured workshops and engagement activities.

Role & Scope

I supported the delivery of SAPN’s internal communications strategy by working alongside the IAP2 Global Lead for Communication and Stakeholder Engagement. My role focused on coordinating and facilitating a series of on-site workshops across the organisation, capturing insights, and translating stakeholder feedback into structured inputs for the strategy development.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinated and supported delivery of internal engagement workshops across multiple SAPN sites.
Managed logistics and stakeholder coordination for roadshow-style engagement sessions.
Captured detailed workshop discussions, insights, and feedback as the primary scribe.
Synthesised stakeholder input into structured documentation to inform strategy development.
Supported facilitation of workshops alongside senior engagement leadership.
Engaged with internal stakeholders across operational, technical, and corporate teams.
Ensured accurate representation of stakeholder perspectives in reporting outputs.
Assisted in aligning workshop outcomes with broader communications strategy objectives
