Overview

As part of the NSW Government’s $8.8 Billion investment in new and upgraded public schools, this program delivered critical education infrastructure across growing communities. The initiative focused on ensuring access to high-quality learning environments while navigating complex stakeholder, political, and community dynamics.

Role & Scope

Reporting to the Senior Community Engagement Manager, I led stakeholder engagement and strategic communications across a high-volume portfolio of infrastructure projects.

I was responsible for delivering end-to-end engagement strategies aligned with government priorities, consultative frameworks, and reporting requirements — operating within a fast-paced, politically sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managed communications and stakeholder engagement across a portfolio of up to 30 concurrent infrastructure projects
  • Developed and implemented strategic engagement and communications plans aligned to project and government objectives
  • Collaborated with project teams, government stakeholders, and media to ensure consistent messaging and alignment
  • Delivered multi-channel communications across digital, media, and community engagement platforms
  • Produced tailored communication materials for diverse stakeholder groups
  • Monitored community sentiment, identifying risks and emerging issues
  • Provided strategic advice to support project delivery within complex and politically sensitive environments
  • Ensured delivery within tight timeframes and budget constraints
