Overview

Embedded within the Chief Executive’s Financial Services division, I supported a range of business-critical finance and corporate services functions during a period of operational improvement and process optimisation.

Role & Scope

Working across accounts receivable, sales ledger and credit control activities, the role extended beyond day-to-day financial administration to include process improvement, documentation development and procedural standardisation. The assignment required strong stakeholder liaison across internal departments, external customers, financial institutions and legal representatives while maintaining the integrity of a large and complex financial ledger.

Key Responsibilities

• Accounts receivable, sales ledger and credit control management
• Clearing aged debtor accounts and improving ledger accuracy
• Supporting maintenance and reconciliation of a £70M+ financial ledger
• Developing and implementing finance procedures and process documentation
• Payroll, accounts payable and financial reconciliation activities
• Credit application assessment and approval support
• Customer and stakeholder liaison across internal and external parties
• Supporting mortgage, settlement and legal documentation processes
• Training and coaching staff on finance procedures and policy requirements
• Supporting system upgrades and business process improvement initiatives
