The Inland Rail is a nationally significant infrastructure program designed to enhance freight connectivity between Melbourne and Brisbane. The Tottenham to Albury (T2A) section in Victoria is a key component of this network, comprising multiple interconnected projects to improve rail capacity, efficiency, and regional connectivity.
The initial phase of the T2A project includes upgrades across 12 sites spanning five local government areas and the North East Rail Line, requiring careful assessment of social, community, and regional impacts.
I delivered a comprehensive Social Impact Assessment (SIA) for the T2A project, evaluating the potential social impacts of infrastructure upgrades across multiple communities. This included assessing impacts on way of life, health, culture, and community resilience, and providing strategic recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance positive outcomes.
